I’m currently working on a major new version of the datatool package. This may take a while. Please be patient. (Experimental version available for testing.)

Description

Look at this:
\DTLgetvalueforkey{\tabledescriptionstring}{c2}{installationshandbuch}{c1}{\select}% search Value!
This will select a row and take the right argument.

Is there any Way to select a column to search the rows?

Best regards

Peter

Evaluation

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with those terms. The only lookup commands available are those listed in the "Advanced Database Commands" section of the user manual. TeX isn't a database language. The data is stored in a particular way that allows easy row access (by row index), but the column access is harder.
