Description
I am not sure if this is intended (and documented), so just to be sure ...When I use a key that is not defined no warning or error is thrown.
MWE
Download (158B)
\documentclass{standalone}
\usepackage{glossaries}
\newacronym{svm}{SVM}{support vector machine}
\begin{document}
d\glsuseriii{svm}b
\end{document}
Evaluation
This is expected behaviour. The key is defined. If you don't specify the value when you define an entry it will be set to its default. In this case, the default for "user3" is empty. So
\newacronym{svm}{SVM}{support vector machine}
is equivalent to:
\newacronym[user3={}]{svm}{SVM}{support vector machine}
I'll update the documentation to clarify the default values for the "user1", ..., "user6" keys.
