Description
\pretoglossarypreamble[type]{text} (see manual page 961) is undefined in glossary-extra.sty, but \preglossarypreamble[type]{text} is.Looks like a typo in code / documentation.
Please make sure to keep \preglossarypreamble[type]{text} for compatibility with LaTeX projects written for makeglossaries-extra 1.50 or lower.
MWE

\documentclass{article} \usepackage{mwe} \usepackage[% xindy, nonumberlist, postdot, ]{glossaries-extra} \setglossarystyle{index} \makeglossaries % \preglossarypreamble{Some text prior the preamble}%working \pretoglossarypreamble{Some text prior the preamble}%undefined \newglossaryentry{test}{ name={test}, description={Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Etiam lobortis facilisis sem. Nullam nec mi et neque pharetra sollicitudin} } \begin{document} \printglossary \clearpage \gls{test} \end{document}
Evaluation
Fixed in v1.52. This now correctly defines \pretoglossarypreamble
. The old (incorrect) command name is still defined to allow for backward-compatibility but isn’t mentioned in the documentation.
