I’m currently working on a major new version of the datatool package. This may take a while. Please be patient. (Experimental version available for testing.)

Summary twoside does not alternate headers

Description

The class file appears to set different headers for even pages and odd pages (the authors' surnames and the document title, respectively). However, only the odd headers are ever displayed. It seems that the "twoside" option, even when explicitly provided, is never passed on to the "article" class. One workaround for now is to place "\PassOptionsToClass{twoside}{article}" before the "\documentclass" line.

MWE

Download (197B)

%\PassOptionsToClass{twoside}{article}
\documentclass[twoside]{jmlr}
\author{\Name{Sample Author}}
\title{Sample Title}
\begin{document}
\maketitle
\null
\clearpage
\null
\clearpage
\end{document}

Evaluation

Now fixed in v1.28 (2020-09-21).
