Description
\listfiles
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage[automake]{glossaries}
\makeglossaries
\newglossaryentry{sample}{name={sample},description={an example}}
\begin{document}
\gls{sample}
\printglossaries
\end{document}
This is the example from the documentation. It no longer creates a glossaries. The log contains the warning
Package glossaries Warning: Can't make glossary `,main,', it doesn't exist on i nput line 146.Note the two commas around
main. Looking at the code one can see that glossaries e.g. checks if \cs{@glotype@,main,@out} exists and that fails.With glossaries 2021/11/01 v4.49 it still works.

Fixed in v4.51 (2022-11-02). Allow a few days for it to reach the TeX distributions. In the meantime, use rollback.
