Description

Till date I used CSV tools for creating certificates. But never ventured to peep into datatools. But today I had gone through the manual and particularly the People package impressed me. That's what I am look for.

But one thing is missing in it. From \Gender field I want to get the output "Mr." for male and "Ms." for female persons so that I can address Ms. .... or Mr. ...

May be it might have already been there and I missed it. Thank you

Evaluation

I think this feature is already addressed by the "person" package which is distributed with the datatool bundle. (See chapter 11 of the datatool user guide.)

Update 2020-02-29: I'm closing this as "not implemented" as I think it's inappropriate to make assumptions about a person's title. You need a separate field so that it can be set according to the person's preference.

Gone through Chapter 11. Mr. and Ms. option is not given.

It may be defined with \persontitle and linked to {gender}. If Male or male or M or m then it should be Mr. and if Female, female or F or f then it should be Ms.

Thanks once again.

Not necessarily. You can't assume a person's title based on their gender.
