Description
When usingcref
of cleveref
, the definitions and lemma defined in this package are displayed as theorems.
To reproduce this error, do
\usepackage{cleveref} \begin{document} \begin{definition} \label{def} \end{definition} \cref{def} % displayed as "theorem~1" \end{document}
MWE
Download (139B)
\documentclass{jmlr} \usepackage{cleveref} \begin{document} \begin{definition} \label{def} \end{definition} \cref{def} \end{document}
Evaluation
Version 1.29 (2022-01-29) now has the class option cleveref
which will integrate cleveref with the theorem-like environments. This option isn't on by default as it may conflict with other user settings.

It seems that the bug persists :(
In case it helps anyone, I managed to go around it using the fancyref
package. Unfortunately, that requires a bunch of setup and definitions. But after that you can simply replace the \cref
command with \fancyref
(e.g., letting with the line \let\cref\fref
)

Nice of you to also support cleveref!
Unfortunately, the current implementation does not appear to be functioning the way it is intended. Consider the following MWE, which on my system (Tex Live 2024, jmlr version 1.30), gives three references to section 1:
