## Report

Page-breaking penalty should only be applied in the group skip if the group has a header. The attached MWE has a page break between the G and H letter groups without glossaries-extra-stylemods.sty but the page break is prohibited with the style modifications which leads to a single “H” entry at the tail end of page 2.

### MWE

% arara: pdflatex
% arara: makeglossaries
% arara: pdflatex
\documentclass{article}

\usepackage[a4paper,margin=1in,top=1.5cm]{geometry}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage[stylemods=mcols]{glossaries-extra}
\usepackage[notestencaps,ascii,extra]{testidx-glossaries}

\tstidxmakegloss

\begin{document}
\tstidxprintglossary[style=mcolindex]

\testidx
\end{document}

Fixed in v1.42.
