glossaries package FAQ

The full form of an acronym is showing in the table of contents but not on first use or the corresponding chapter/section title 🔗

This is typically caused by using a command such as \gls in a chapter/section command. The command is copied to the table of contents, which means that the first use of the entry is in the contents not in the main matter. Why shouldn’t I use commands like \gls in \section, \chapter, \caption etc?
