glossaries package FAQ
If you’re not using savewrites
, this problem has been fixed in version 1.07.
If you are using savewrites
, this issue is an unfortunate shortcoming of the method employed by this setting due to TeX’s asynchronous output routine. If you need a number list in your glossary and this issue is causing a problem, remove the savewrites
option. If you have a problem of too many write registers, consider switching to bib2gls, which doesn’t require any write registers (since it uses the .aux file for the indexing information and doesn’t require an associated style file). See also: I get the error: “no room for a new \write
”.
